Paula Smulders emigrated to New Zealand from the Netherlands in 1979.
Her creations span a variety of styles and techniques, as an expression of an urge to discover new areas in her life and therefore in her work.
​
Her extensive travels over the years have often been an inspiration for her as an artist. people and places and the way they relate to each other being a never ending source of interest, expressed in bright colors,
the spice of life.
​
Paula has had numerous solo exhibitions in Christchurch and a few in Auckland, as well as taking part in group shows.
